Big problems with delayed email started today. Emails sent at 11:15 a.m. just received at 9:10 p.m. Another sent at 3:15 and received 3 hours later. There was a case # VZ set up the last time. I will call again and hope everyone does.
The delay problem remains unrepaired. We are stll experiencing delays with Hotmail email going to Verizon email accounts. This continues to be a frustrating situation. We do not have delays with any other email. Eventually someone from Verizon should monitor this thread and at least try to resolve the issue and let us know that they are actually looking and attempting to do so.
The problem is back again. Last two days from 1 hour to 6 hours delay in email and some emails delivered twice, hours apart. I am calling them once again. Last time, they said they were upgrading Spam service and that cause delays. This is the third round with them since late November when it lasted 2.5 weeks.
Called about this in December. The customer service rep blamed other servers... not a verizon issue. Had me text a message and decided all was good. (And I was basically nuts!) In the last 24 hours, I have had messages delayed anywhere from 90 minutes to 2+ days.... and then others that are received in a timely manner. I can't make any sense out of it. Got a rep on the phone, he listened and noted down some of the problem emails and is going to have it looked into. He says they may need a server reset on their end. We will see!!!
I called them the other day. I got a guy who said he would have to speak to one of the "specialists" and would call me back. Sure enough, he called back 10 minutes later but since I was on the other line, he left me a message saying that they wanted me to send them a sample of the delayed e-mail. He didn't tell me where to send it but rather told me to call back and find out the address. I did that and the guy I next spoke to had no idea where to send them. He kept putting me on hold for 40 minutes while he kept checking! At one point he told me they wanted my password so they could get to my account. I told him that was a nice try but no. He didn't argue but put me back on hold. He finally came back and said they didn't need me to send them anything but they were still looking into it. The entire thing was a waste of my time and accomplished nothing whatsoever.
And of course Verizon has nowhere to send an e-mail complaining about the horrible customer service either.
Are you Verizon guys out there reading this?
