Just got off the phone with AOL. I am attmepting to configure OUTLOOK for the 10th or 11th time. It works for a minute, then it stops working.
AOL informed me tech support will only help me if I buy AOL tech support. According to service rep, Verizon gave us "BASIC" plan that does not include tech support!
It would n't be a big deal, but what about my 16+ years of emails and archived emails?
When I switch mail programs, I lose all that.
Just did this:
Outlook Email Settings used with AOL VERIZON Email
As of 7/13/2017 Outlook 2013 running under Windows 10
GO TO ACCOUNT SETTINGS
Name: ******@verizon.net Type: POP/SMTP (send from this account by default)
Your Name: *******
Email Address: ******@verizon.net
Password: ********* (the new one you chose to migrate to AOL)
Configuring: Outlook is completing the setup for your account. This might take several minutes
Establishing Network Connection
Searching for ******@verizon.net settings
Log on to server and send a test message
Your POP3 e-mail account is successfully configured
Have had no problems sending or receiving using Outlook since migration to AOL
