Error when trying to download email from verizon.net

I get the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon (papa.drb) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'incoming.verizon.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10061

What do I have to do ?

Papa.DRB

Check all your email settings.  Suggested/required settings

  • pop3

  • outgoing requires authentication

  • outgoing.verizon.net 587, 465(SSL)

  • Incoming.verizon.net 110, 995(SSL)

  • Apop is supported for password authentication
