How long will Verizon continue forwarding emails after the shutdown?

We have setup forwarding of our Verizon.net email address to gmail. Does anyone know how long the forward will remain in place (if at all) after Verizon's email "retirement" date?

On the plus side if you chose AOL    ALL your emails folders and contacts are migrated for you.

This was my choice.

Advantage:  Your email address does not change.

I then changed my Iphone,iPad and Outlook in PC's to work with "new" VZ AOL email.

Afterwards if you want to "hook up" with gmail you can do it.

My iPhone and iPad can also get my mail thru gmail.
