IMAP for Verizon e-mail

Has there been any word lately on when or if we will ever see IMAP support for Verizon e-mail?  Trying to monitor an account on both computers and smart phones is a pain with POP3 only.  It seems odd since most e-mail providers have supported IMAP for years.

Has Verizon included IMAP settings capabilities?  If anyone has had success in reading their emails only once on multiple devices, I love to hear how you did it.

no firm commitments from Verizon at this time, but they acknowledged the idea.  you may want to go add your Vote.
