Long-Haired-One,
I am sorry you are getting that error. I am using the Chrome browser, Vista is my OS and starting from http://www.verizon.com/?lid=//global//residential. In other scenario, whether using a different VZ URL or the IE browser, I am taken to the VZW site to enter my password, then taken to a page that asks me to update my password everytime. That didn't happen before the beginning of February. You may want to try the other two solutions mentioned in this Forum topic (especially if your scenario is different), ones by wicked-warlock and TomH309. You may also want to google that specific error message for more info on it. Below is the screen I get after clicking on the "change" link on that verizon.com home page.

I am sorry if this has been asked over and over. I, unfortunately am not savvy enough to search through the forums to see if there is a solution or light at the end of the tunnel.
I cannot stay signed in to my email account and as of today there is no longer a "stay signed in" button.
Are they working on it?
Is there a plan to rectify this?
Is this a permanent thing?
Some of you may say just get another email address. But my email address is on my letterheads, my business cards, my resume and the like. Its not that simple.
Again I am sorry if this is repeated and been hashed over a few times.
I will be sure to keep current with this thread.
