Sent an email yesterday morning at 8.07am Eastern which was delivered yesterday at 10.07pm Eastern. According to the header info it appears the mail reached the verizon server at 7.07.16 Central and was delivered from Verizon to the recipient mail server at 21.07.37 central, just over 14 hours.
I guess this explains why some people have been complaining that I have been giving them late delivery on requests for info.
Was email down yesterday for some hours or were there even any reported outages, if so I never saw anything on it.

Wife complaining that she isn't getting her emails in a timely manner. She does a lot of consumer surveys and if they are delayed a day, she is eliminated from completing them. Properties of one email from Vitamin Shoppe states sent 3-1-11 17:42 but I did not get it until 3-2-11 10:45am
Why did you answer OFFLINE. Many of us are interested in knowing the answer to 'service delay' issues.
Is there a system log that displays Known Issues so we don't have to wait on hold for tech support for 60+ minutes???
