Message to Verizon Support

Effective August 25, 2011, I ended my DSL service through Verizon. The customer service representative assured me that I have 30 days to retrieve Internet messages. However, when I tried a few moments ago this morning, I cannot access my stored e-mail messages at all. Please provide information on how I can retrieve those messages, since I have 30 days to do so. Thank you.

...the customer service rep lied to you. Sorry to put it so bluntly, but it's true. As soon as the cancellation order goes through, your email account is disabled.

You *might* be able to call Verizon tech-support and sweet-talk them into enabling it for you again, but per the Terms of Service they don't have to:

9.2 - Deletion of Data upon Termination. YOU AGREE THAT IF YOUR SERVICE IS TERMINATED FOR ANY REASON, VERIZON HAS THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY DELETE ALL DATA, FILES AND OTHER INFORMATION (INCLUDING EMAILS, ADDRESS BOOK AND WEB STORAGE CONTENT) STORED IN OR FOR YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE TO YOU.
