For the last 3 days I haven't been able to send any email yet I'm still able to receive email. I keep getting the following message: <Dominant>, Contacting smtp.vzn.mail.fy4.b.yahoo.com (98.138.84.31), (09:28:09 PM) Could not connect to "outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net" Cause: connection timed out (10060)
Any ideas?

Hey can you check the port settings on the advance Tab on the mail application that your using for your e-mail if the outgoing port is set to 25 change it 587 and try it.

I am using port 587, network timeout set at 300 seconds, SMTP server is outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

The same is happening to me now. Using Eudora all configurations are nominal
