Problem receiving email in Outlook

I have my email account, through Hotmail, set up in Outlook.  Yesterday I started getting an error message when I went to send/receive email that says: 

Error in Mail
The server reported a temporary error.
Error: 5102. Server. Maximum request length exceeded..

I have been able to send emails ok but I don't receive them.  I can go out to the Hotmail site and receive but not through Outlook.  Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Make sure you have the Most recent version of Microsoft Outlook Connector. Mine is 12.0.6423.1000. I have no issues with mine. You may need to update your Microsoft Office software
