Reinstall FIOS email

I bought a used computer. While the seller was -****ing around with my settings, the icon for Verizon Webmail disappeared. I can access my account from the Veruzon Website and read my mail. But when I go to reply to a message, it says can't do it because "not properly installed". HELP! I use this account all the time and need to reply to emails!

That doesn't make sense to me.  If you are accessing mail on the Verizon site (rather than using a 3rd party client) you do not need anything installed on your computer.  Since this is a used computer, it's possible that some Verizon program was previously installed and is now corrupted. Maybe that is creating a conflict.

 

I would suggest:

  • Go to the control panel and uninstall everything Verizon.
  • Scan your directory for any traces of Verizon that are left and manually delete them. 
  • Clear your browser's  cookies and cache. 
  • Restart the computer and see if there's a difference.
