Why are many of my incomming emails marked as [SPAM] when they are not Spam. I could not reply to PayPal as an example because it was blocked as [SPAM]. This is crazy. Too much security in the wrong place.
Is there a way to shut off SPAM detection?

Turning off the Spam detector is done one of two ways.
1) If you check your email on the Verizon website, go to the email screen. Click the settings tab, then email options, then spam detector. Toggle the option off.
2) If you are using the outlook program, you have to go into the settings of your anti virus protection program. Go into the email scanning / spam settings.
