Setting up verizon.net email in Outlook 2010
Interstate275Fl

I just signed up for FiOS last week, and my installation is scheduled in a couple of days.  However, I am trying to get my verizon.net email set up in Outlook 2010 and it does not want to recognize my settings.

I am following the instructions for setting up the verizon.net email account which includes my user ID and password, not to mention the incoming and outgoing ports to use and I can't seem to get it to work.  I have also used the Verizon troubleshooter as well; when I input my password (using the same password to log in to my Verizon account) the troubleshooter did not recognize my password.

As I am waiting for FiOS installation, is setting up my verizon.net email in Outlook 2010 something I can do now or do I have to wait until my FiOS is installed?

Hi Interstate275FI,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Forums here. Here is a direct link that will take you through each step to setup your Outlook application with your email account.

If you need to reset your password for any reason, you can do so using this link.

As long as you can sign in at the website, you should be fine even though your FiOS service is not installed. If you need any further help setting things up, just let us know.

Thanks,

CJ
