As a Verizon FIOS user, I am compelled to use outgoing.verizon.net as the server for my outbound email. I am adding a new laptop to my home network. But I cannot get email to send out from it, with Windows Live Mail or with Thunderbird. A Verizon tech says the password and all the settings are correct, but I am convinced the problem lies with the Verizon connection, not with the hardware of email client software. I have tried all conceivable combinations of settings, all to no avail. Has anyone seen and solved this problem?
