Suddenly my password stopped working on my mac and on my ipad. I updated the account settings.
pop.verizon.net, port 465, ssl for incoming
smtp.verizon.net, port 995, ssl for outgoing
I rechecked my password etc - webmail works fine but cannot get mac mail to work.
I'm having the same problem on my MacBook. It just keeps rejecting the password, but it's the EXACT SAME password that works fine on Yahoo. I just wasted something like two hours on it - part of it getting rid of unwanted mail so I could move it into a folder on the computer and delete the original account, and then I forgot about a whole slew of stuff I had in the drafts folder which is now GONE) - all for nothing. Is this something that we're just going to have to wait (however long - it's been 4 days now that I haven't been able to get mine on my computer) until they fix?
This just started happening to me. Has anyone resolved this? I use thunderbird on my computer and the stock email client on my samsung s3 - having issue on both. This happened once before, I changed my password at verizon.net and it started working, but now, about a week later issue started again. I shouldn't have to change my pw to fix this. I tried redoing my account, etc and nothing is working. and I know the pw is correct, it is stored in the thunderbird and samsung so it's sending the right one each time, I even retyped it, no dice - definately some problem with the pop interface.
I called verizon support - not much help.
