verizon.net email and apple

I have an ipad (newest generation) and an iphone 5, i notice when i delete an email on my iphone it doesnt delete on my ipad or on my laptop same thing vice versa.... am i doing something wrong how do i get it so the server synchronizes everything its driving me crazy, this is the only email address where i have this issue

ITs the nature of POP3.  Once a device downloads a message it will keep that copy until deleted on that device.

Ok so question why when I check other emails if I delete it on my iPad it will delete it everywhere else on all my devices but the verizon email won't.

Probably the others are using IMAP instead of POP3.
