Add me to the list.  Been trying to fix this for several days.  Tried everything from resetting ONT, resetting modem, reconfiguring settings using Verizon's auto configuration tool and shutting down computer / restarting.  made sure no VoD was on sapping bandwidth.

Testing with Wired connection.  Prime time, I'm supposed to have 150/150 service and getting 25/65.  I feel really ripped off.

same thing here, this seems to be verizon throttling from its core bcause in cant support the speeds it provides for its customers at peak times, so they  slow them down purposely. ihave 75/75, i get 85/95 during the daytime, but 6-12 i recieve 5-20mbps download and the full 80-90 mbps upload, also the ms jumps from 6ms to 40-80ms at night, this is beyond fraustrating.

I doubt its at the core.  I have never seen any delays accessing the speedtest.net or verizon speedtest based on time of day at either my NY or FL homes.

Of course might be something screwed up or overloaded at your local office or at the boundaries to other internet networks.

This is a very common problem exits not only New York but other States and Verizon has failed to address that issue!!!!!

Add Dallas, TX to the list. Verizon needs to add capacity somewhere!

FWIW,  here on Lond Island I never see the slow down being discussed in this thread.

I have 75/75 and always get better than 80/80,  any time of the day and any day of the week.

I'm not throwing this out there to rub it in, but rather just to point out that it is at least possible to get consistent speeds from FiOS.

I hope Verizon takes note of those users are are having the slow down problem and that they look into what's causing it in those neigbhorhoods.

I have been monitoring this speed since Fios install but didn"t complain until week later!!!last night I start monitoring speed from 6 PM And surprise to see download speed stayed low(9.97-23.45)Mbps until 0100 Am then speed went back to normal 84/90 Mbps.Verizon sending Tech tomorning to check the Line even though I believe it has something to do with their own Server or Network....I was unable to do Skype because connection(Signal) was going from White to red every 20 Sec. and all test was done wiredly no wireless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skype has their own connectivity issues at times so I wouldn't use it as a reliable benchmark.  Not to mention the Skype connection depends on both ends of a call.  A poor connection could be due to a problem at or near your end, or at the other party's end of the call.

How are you measuring your speeds besides Skype?  www.speedtest.net ? And have you tried a few different speedtest.net servers?

I'm not doubting you have an issue in the evening.  Just curious about how you're determining that issue.

I wish you luck with the Verizon tech visit.   A problem with a tech visit can happened if they can't see the problem.  Y'know...they'll be there at 9 in the morning when speeds are fine, and not at 9 at night when the problem can be seen.

It's a start though....
