Is it possible to upgrade your router to the Actiontec GigE router, or is still only availble with the 150/35 plan?
Don't believe Verizon has announced any plans for upgrading from a standard issue router, yet.
I don't think Verizon has any plans for a general upgrade. People will get upgraded automatically as the inventory of new revision routers increases, and old routers fail or are retired. However based upon the FiOS STB experience, don't hold your breath waiting...
Kind of like what is going on with FiOS TV and the 6416 DVR. Verizon is going to keep handing them out as long as they have them , even though the 6416 has probably been out of production for several years, and cannot do many of the things the 7000 and Cisco STB's can do. The fact that they cannot do what many customers want to be able to do hasn't stopped Verizon from handing them out on new installs.....
