When we will get firmware update to enable the USB ports on the MI424WR router for external harddrive storage? Really want to see this option available as I missed this capability from my previous Belkin router in my DSL days.

Hi,
Even I am waiting for it. I spoke to VERIZON FIOS tech support person today but he told me that he has not heard of any news about activating those USB ports..I want to plug-in my USB hard-drive to share it across multiple systems 😞
Hope they listen to us sooooon 🙂
Thanks,
kamdard.

Yeah, I'd like to see NAS enabled on the ActionTec Router too. As the manual states...
"In the future, with a firmware release upgrade, the USB host functionality will be available for devices such as external storage and cameras."
However setting up NT Shares is easy and that's what I have done on my SOHO LAN.
