I am using Windows Media Encoder to stream video from a web cam through my Actiontec M1424-WR RevC router. Problem I am having is when I shut down the camera for the evening and then start it back up in the morning, I get a message that says the port is in use...try another port. I then have to reassign a different port. This causes issues because I then have to inform those that want to view the scene of the new port number.
Anyone know how to get around this anamoly?

You probably have to set up a static ip on the computer then set up the router to port forward to that static ip... Have you tried this?

Yes, I have assigned the computer a static address.
Everything works, it's just that I dont want to have to reboot the router everytime I restart the encoder program to stream the video.
