I understand that I can get another router, but my problem here is that I don't have the coax hookup to connect a second router to. Does Verizon have techs come out and set up another coax connection.

if you want to move the router you should contact billing, if you want to leave the router and run ethernet to another part of the house so you can have another router you need to contact an electrician or someone that can run ethernet through the house. You cannot have more than one router connected through coax connected to the internet.

You can relocate the Router to any active Coax Port in your house without contactingthe Billing Department.

If your ONT is located in the Basement or outside your house then you should be able to tap into the Coax at that point.

he just stated he doesn't have a coax hookup, he needs to contact billing so they can add a splitter and add an outlet if he wants to move the router.

Since the ONT is either in the Basement (Where the OP wants the 2nd Router) or outside the house near the basement then he has fairly easy access to the Coax Output from the ONT. It is fairly easy to pick up a few RG6 Pre Made Cables and a FIOS Compatible Splitter to get a Live Coax Line in the Basement.
With a 2nd Live Coax Line a 2nd MOCA Router can be installed as the OP originally wanted to do.
