After waking desktop from sleep, no internet connection

Hi,

After waking my desktop (Dell Inspion Zino HD) from sleep or hibernation, any browser I use indicates that any page I try to load will not.  It takes about 20-45 seconds before the computer is connected to the internet.  I can, however, connect to the Fios router during this time.  After this initial period, all is okay until the computer goes back to sleep.

This did not occur until I upgraded my speed to the 2nd tier, I think it is 50 download.
