Hello,
I am getting a new FIOS install with gigabit internet. From what I read since my speed will be higher than 150, they will be doing an ethernet handoff. I just wanted to confirm that I will be able to connect my own router to this ethernet handoff from the ONT, and will not need to use a Verizon router.
Thanks

Yes you can.
Its possible that when tech arrives, he will require use of Verizon rotuer to validate service.
Once that is done, you can tell him to take it with him as you will be using your own rotuer.
He may pressure you in to keeping Verizon router.
Keep in mind that Verizon may limit support with Internet issues if you are using your own router.
