Hi,
I have a Verizon Fios Quantum gateway router. I want to use the ASUS RT-AC68U router as primary.
The current setup is I have a Verizon Fios router and I have an Asus router connected to it. All my devices are connected to ASUS. I working on a server setup that is connected to ASUS, which requires Dynamic DNS and port forwarding. The server is connected to ASUS, and I want to use ASUS because it gives me the flexibility to have custom Dynamic DNS. But Verizon Fios gives me only 5 predefined Dynamic DNS. So, can I replace the quantum gateway Fios router with this ASUS RT-AC68U router? Thanks in advance.

In addition to this, I forgot to mention that, I have only internet service and no TV or phone. The Quantum gateway router is connected to ONT with an ethernet cable.

You only need to use their NAT router if:
#1 You have Fios TV One (or if I got that so close, Fios One TV). Since you do not have Fios TV, yay.
#2 AND or you need support from Verizon. Support will end at the ONT if you use your own NAT router.
