consistent serivce outages

I don't know if this have happened to anybody else, but here is my situation.

It started about a week ago. Everyday starting at around 7:00PM EST my FiOS service would go out and it only come back few hours later. The problem isn't from the router, but from the ONT itself. (The fail light on the ONT would blink when this happens)

I don't know if Verizon is testing the lines, but I don't think testing it daily is normal.

Almost forget, I'm getting service in Staten Island, New York.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you asked Verizon either via live chat or over the phone to check your ONT's logs? The FAIL light could light for a number of reasons. If other lights such as NETWROK were out, that would probably indicate a problem upstream on the cable somewhere or with the PON Card back at the CO.
