Constant short disconnects

I have had verizon fios for a little over a week(just moved to no apt.). Since i have had it my computer has small disconnects nearly all the time by which I mean my computer will drop connection for like 2-4 seconds then instantly reconnect and it will do this every few mins.  The lights on the modem and router stay on like nothing happened but if I'm downloading something or playing an online game it would disconnect me from the game or temporally stop the download. I have called verizon and they sent someone to check it out all they did was change the modem but the problem still continues. I switched out the coax and Ethernet cable that didn't help there are a few times when the internet will be fine for a few hours but most of the time its does the small disconnect thing.

Does the issue happen on wired & wireless connections? AS Hubrisnxs  advised in a similar thread get your issue escalated to a technician that can check the logs on the ONT

Also are you using any custom settings on your router?

My desktop is wired and I have a laptop that is wireless and I'm having the disconnects on both I think I'm using the default settings Verizon sent me a new router I replaced the old one today but I'm still getting the disconnects. Also the disconnects on each computer don't always happen at the same time

I have the same issue -- frequent disconnects of my FIOS for 15-30 seconds, just enough to disconnect me from World of Warcraft or a facebook game.  I have the fastest FIOS connection; I upgraded to it last week, but the problem existed before that and persists now.  It hits both wired and wireless connections.  If my kid and I are playing WoW, we'll be disconnected at the same time, just for 30 seconds.

I've tried cycling the router (i.e., turning it off/on); no help.  I've read here that one should check one's router log -- how do I do that?  Any other suggestions?

Type this http://192.168.1.1 in a browser window and use admin and the password imprinted on the label attached to the router (mine is 8 digits) system  monitoring - advanced status - YES - system logging - SAve log - save as- and select your hard drive or other storage device. Rename system.log to system.txt Then post the system.txt as an attachment to your next post see example
