More than likely you'll have to get that information from Verizon. This is a peer-to-peer support forum. If you want to get information from Verizon, you should contact them directly via one of the options on their Contact Us page.
There may be a way to look at the Copyright Violation information from your account, but I'm not familiar enough with that process to tell you where it is.

It is highly unlikely that you would get a copyright violation notice for downloading something. Practically everyone who goes on the internet would be guilty if that were the policy. Uploading copyrighted materieal is where the violations are more likely going to occur. Storing copyrighted material can also be a violation. But unless they check your computer, hard to prove.
So, if the email doesn't give you the information you want or a point of contact, I would suggest ignoring it. It may be a bogus attempt to get a reply for nefarious purposes.
As an aside, if your daughter is a typical 8 year old, don't discount her internet skills.

Call Verizon or check your MyVerizon account. Copyright notifications from your ISP will be found there. If you don't have any record, it's likely what others have stated; a potential scam to get money from you.
If you do see a copyright notifcation bound to your account, definitely consider your Wireless as a source of concern as well, even if your kids did not manage to install P2P software or upload some copyrighted content ot the Internet. If the Wi-Fi key is extremely obvious, or if the Wi-Fi is unsecured or secured with WEP, it's likely someone could have used your Wi-Fi. Find out from Verizon to see what the deal is before we start re-doing your Wireless settings.
