FIOS internet connection question

We are getting our FIOS bundle installed this coming Friday (phone, TV, internet) - - My house is 5 years old, and has coax outlet at the TV, and phone jacks in two rooms.  Our home computer is in another bedroom, and it has a phone jack that was wired later, with an exterior, surface wired (not in the walls) phone cable.  It is about 20 feet from the current external phone interface, and on the same wall as the phone interface (and the future location of the FIOS exterior box).  I'm assuming that I will need a coax outlet in this bedroom to connect the new router to......the confirmation from Verizon says that hookup of the home computer is included in the installation, including jacks, etc.  I'm OK with the installer running new coax along the exterior wall to replace the phone line.  I'm guessing that this will be included in my installation?  Just curious -

Thanks a bunch!

Yes, you will need either coax to cat5 (ethernet) to the router. I believe it's included in the installation but I'm not 100% sure on that (my router location already had coax). I'm sure other people know though.

You kind of want to think what you want where.

VZ will want to connect the router to coax.  They will also want to connect the STBs by coax which typically means a single coax in and then a multiport splitter to allow connections to the router and the STBs.  The PC's need to connect to the router via either Wireless or ethernet.  The router does not have to be besides the computer or the TV it's your decision where any of it it goes and VZ will provide a wired connection, within reason, that meets what you decide you want.
