The FiOS speed test does not work in Internet Explorer 8. It says this test does not support your browser. Will this be eventually updated?

probably. But there are lots of  speed test sites out there. 

 

try   www.speedtest.net  or www.speakeasy.net/speedtest 

 

These will at least allow you to select a server to test to and usually give you more accurate results.
