Gateway:  192.168.1.1

DNS: 192.168.1.1

Since we still have the ActionTec as your primary gateway to the internet.

ok. i tried that on my netgear wndr 3700 router.

I get this message since there is a conflict the ip has been set to 10.0.0.1

1)can i use that one as static ip.

2) does a static ip mean I can from any computer on the network type the ip address and log into my router? or do i have to unplug and attach to a computer?

3) if i cant set up static ip correctly, can i simply unplug my router and go to 192.168.1.1 ? (although i think i tried that and it did not work)

thanks in advance.
