Anti-Phish, you said don't "let them" sell you what isn't compatible. No. That's not my job.

I agree that's not your job, but if you want the further aggrevation of ordering and being billed for 25/25 while only being provisioned for 20/20 because the database has not been corrected to show you as VDSL, because that's not your job, then go ahead and let them "upgrade" you to 25/25.

anti-phish,

I have explained that to them on the phone. Before my issue was escalated to higher levels, sales people simply ignored what I said and told me they could only sell me 25/25, not 20/20.

Now that my issue is escalated two-fold..or three-fold? It's still being worked on. I've been getting updates by phone, which is very nice. As of now, the issue is still not solved. The issue that I'm not even getting speeds as fast as 10/2 is also still not solved.

It just got to the point where I was tired of explaining the situation repeatedly, and that's where I decided it was no longer my job to do so.

I agree, by now I do not believe you should be explaining anything, I believe Verizon has some explaining to do. I hope they get it solved for you.

I have been Very happy with my internat speeds but want to downgrade. But to get the channels I want I need the ultimate but don't need the speeds. I can't send anything to anyone at close to 20mbps even when they have 20mbps speeds on their end. I don't just send to Verizon, and that seems like to onlything that works ar adverized speeds. Try to send something to Comcast is a joke when that user can DL at 20 and I can only send to him at 6 on a 35/35 service. What is the point. I am starting to think anything above 25/25 is a waist of money. But I want the channels so I am stuck. I think one of the main reasons I upgraded was for the channels and DL speeds, but I have found I can hardly send to anyone but Verizon at the advertized speeds. Now if we could build our own bundles that would be great. Perhaps 25/25 Ultimate but I have not seen that offered. I would even consider 15/15 or 20/20 with the Ultimate TV package if it would save me money and was available.

I was supposed to hear from Verizon on whether or not they can solve this problem by this time yesterday. I sent a private message to find out if there's any new news.. just don't want to slip through the cracks.

I must really not want to go back to cable if I'm putting up with it this long..

This is still going on. Problems supposedly cleared, new ones found.. orders fail again, but they're calling me periodically to keep me updated.

If I were you, I would take this problem to the top!  E mail or write the CEO, Mr. Ivan Seidenberg.  You can google his E mail and business address,  I did and my problem was solved in one day!!!

I E mailed and followed up with a letter.Smiley Wink
