Gateway password isn't working

I have a verizon G1100 router and I can't seem to access the gateway. The password wasn't changed to my knowledge and it from my researchit should either be "password" or "admin". If I can't get access is there any easy way to reset it without a lot of effort?

The default password is not "password."  It unique for each router and is printed on the router's identification label.  You can change the password once you get in.  A factory reset will go back to the default password printed on the label.

The user id is "admin," and cannot be changed.

Note the WiFi password is different than the administrator password.  It, too, is printed on the label.

If you google "g1100 manual" you find the full documentation on Verizon's web site.

As already mentioned the password is on the label on the router.

The reset button is also on the back. Stick something that fits into the hole and hold it for a few seconds. All of the lights on the front will turn off and the reboot process will start.

Before when I did that with my old modem (old house) I had to go and completely reset all of the modem settings otherwise the internet wouldn't work. So what I am asking if I push the reset button, am I going to have internet as soon as the thing restarts or will I have to configure stuff.

There are a few stickers on the back but none actually hinting towards the password. What would the password be listed under?

Edit: It appears the side panel sticker was actually pulled off that is supposed to have the passwords. How do I get the passwords now?

That's too bad.  The sticker is on the side panel and is titled "default login credentials."  If it's gone, I don't know of any way to get the admin passwords.  You could try asking Verizon support.

You may be able to find the WiFi password on the MyVerizon web page, My FiOS smartphone app or FiOS TV set-top-box menus.  They do list WiFi passwords for Verizon routers.  They do not list the admin password.

Is it possible the person who removed it stuck it somewhere else?  Like on the box or relevant paperwork?  Look around,

maybe you can find it.

If you can't find the passwords, you'll probably need to get a new router.  Depending on how and when you got it, Verizon might replace it.
