I am getting a wireless signal and can connect to the internet.

My other PC's is pluged in and working fine.

I checked the cable and it is fine.

The problem is when I plug into the router my PC sees the connection but no data transfer.

When try to repair it I get "TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection."

message that says to contact the person who manages your network.

I call the help line and they did not help.

I am running a Dell Latitude D630 with Windows XP.

This PC is slow enough on its own, so I wanted to plug it in to the router and speed up internet speed from 54Mbps wireless to 400Mbps connected to router.

After about 4 hours of work I figured out that the network card is bad.
It is a old computer and it is time for a new one.
