How to keep DHCP range from going back to default?

Whenever I call Verizon for service such as activating a new STB, my DHCP distribution range will go back to factory settings. This is quite annoying as I have devices that require a certain IP segment. Is there a way to prevent anyone from resetting my router back to factory settings??

I am not sure how to prevent the resettting but you could backup your router configuration by logging into the router, advanced - Config. file - save. Then restore it as needed.

I don't know if you're trying to change the DHCP range used by the STBs.
The STBs have a reserved DHCP scope from 100 - 150.
You should avoid that range.
