Hi. This is going to sound weird, but I cannot get my computer to connect to the internet when the main TV is on in the living room. Once that is shut off, the computer connects right away. What is going on here? Other devices in the house, including two other laptops, a tablet, and all phones still connect no problem. And the TV is a relatively new 60 smart TV. Can anyone shed some light as to what is going on?

It sounds like your TV and computer are trying to use the same IP address. You might check your router to see what it shows.

With the TV connected to the internet, On the computer in question - accessories - right click command prompt - run as admin - YES if prompted - in the black box type ipconfig /release
then type ipconfig /renew close the box then test,
