I have the supplied Fios Wireless router and I am having problems connecting with other systems wether it be game consoles or labtops in my basement. I was wondering If anyone knows how to increase my connectivity besides saying to move objects from its path(which I have done). Is there a way I could add another router leading from the box( i think it is the main console)that they(the instalation guy) set up in the basement
I would appreciate any suggestions

Installing the router in the basement could be an issue. It's usually a good idea to place the router somewhere central so all the units have connectivity. If youcan't relocate the router in a better location, you could always picy up a wi-fi repeater. ...another option is an amplifier. RadioShack carries one that replaces the antenna on the router with an amplified version.

I have the supplied Actiontec router in my basement of a three level town home and have a "good" signal in my third level upstairs. It even works about 50-100 ft outside my front door in my car.
It may be a configuration issue, unless you are seeing just a "poor" signal. Possible interferance from another wireless device, like a neighbors router. You can try your connection manager on one of your wireless devices to see what other routers you pick up. Perhaps look and see what channel they are on and lock your router down on a different one. Even rebooting your router may cause the channel to change on your router, and fix the issue. With so many people running wireless, it could be a channel frequency issue with wireless routers so close to each other. Just some thoughts.

Are you sure they have the right type at Radioshack? The only one I could find there is one that fits a Linksys and its a different connection.
