Hello, I have Verizon Fios and a MI424WR router. It's the router with the big red stripe and two antennas. Got it this year.
From what I understand, the router does not have WPS capabilities? Is this true? If it is true, why is there a WPS button on the actual router?
Bottom line: I want to make sure I don' t use WPS because of security reasons.
Thank you.

To verify security setup - login to the router http://192.168.1.1/ using the credentials imprinted on the router, Wireless Settings- Status - Security enable S/B Yes and there S/B your WPA2 key filled in.
The button is there I assume becasue the manuf. included it but rest assured WPS is not active on the verizon branded version of this router. Good Question!
