Mystery Devices on My Network

I logged on to my FiOS Router and saw under My Network(Auto-Scan Enabled), in addition to my 2 Dell computers that connected, there are 3 mystery devices, I do not know where they came from:

1. Name: ACER-5597DEBF0

    Type: Computer

    Connection: Wireless

    Status: Offline

2. Name: acer-55972debf0

    Type: Unknown

    Connection: Ethernet

    Status: Offline

3. Name: IP-STB1

    Type: Set Top Box

    Connection: MoCA

    Status: Online

I am 100% sure I only have 2 Dell computers connected to the Network since the day 1 of the FiOS install, can I safely delete the other 3 unknown devices from my router?

then you can just delete it. If it comes back up then, I would worry about it.

1 and 2 are the same thing, it has been connected both wired and wireless, that means someone connected directly to your router, most likely someone you know has a acer laptop that came over to your house and plugged in.

3 Is your TV Set top box, do not delete that device.

3. Okay got that.

But on 1 & 2:

No one ever come to my house with any laptop(any brand) and connected to my router, and I am 100% sure about that.

I am the only one knowing the WPA2 PSK, so I am very sure, I did not give it to anyone to allow them connect wirelessly.

Is it possilbe that my router was connected to the Acer while it's still in facotry?

Or my router was not a brand new one, Verizon gave someone else's router to me as a new one?

Just guessing...

um, yes, 1 & 2 are the same;  wireless and ethernet (2 different NIC's).  how does that indicate that someone came over and did anything ?

oh, and if the router has been reset (effectively), there wouldn't be any way for anything from a previous location to appear in the 'my network' list.

Also, the original poster mentions '3 unknowns' , but there are only 3 listed, so are these the 3 unknowns or are these the knowns?

I can give a better answer.  The mystery devices are the fios techs laptop.  They wire in to do the original setup, then wirelessly to test the signal.
