No internet connection

We have had no Internet connectivity since late yesterday afternoon. Apparently, this is an issue over a good portion of the upper East Coast. Any insight as to what's going on?

This is a peer to peer forum. You would have to call Verizon directly at 1-800-VERIZON 

And talk to tech support. 

I am on the east coast and my service is working.
