NO INTERNET SERVICE SINCE SATURDAY!!!!!

Hey,

I'm Jersey City, I don’t have any internet connection since 10/29

Called support yesterday and they said that Verizon has some issues in the area. Promised to get the service up by midnight.

I still have no connection.(WTF!!!)

Anyone else experiencing the same?

same here, no service since late saturday night in jersey city.   i see my router's external IP address has changed but is not passing packets beyond it.

I called them 4 times and 2x today.

They promiss to fix it today.

This is rediculous!!!!! No service for 3 days now!!!

I can not work, my kid can not do his HW...

I am ready to go back to comcast!!!!

The same issue at Essex St, Jersey City. One Verizon tech support guy (Robert) was saying yesterday (Sun) that it would be fixed by midnight. However it's not fixed:(

Let's keep calling those guys!!!

Also if anyone sees it working again please let all of us know by a post here. Thanks in advance!

Called them, they confirmed outage. Resolution promised by 6pm today (Monday).

Also said (after I asked), that my account should be credited for that outage automatically...

Fantastic reliability - several days without internet.

Same here. Was told should be back by mid-night but still no service. This is outrageous. The tech-support seems to be pulling the outage ETA out of thin air! Monday 6 PM?!

Verizon FIOS outage in Jersey City / No Verizon FIOS internet in Jersey City

I am in downtown on Warren Street. I had no internet service since early Sunday morning, October 31, 2010. It is now Monday, November 1, 2010, 10:45 AM. How can an outage last this long?  Don't Verizon have any backup system or alternate system?  If I had intenet, I would have worked at home today.  Now, I had to commute to the office.

I guess they either have nobody available who can fix the problem fast or they have lost some important configuration data and are trying to reconstruct those form scratch which can take time. Their memo says that it its' a firmware problem in one of the intermediate components. My guess that they attempted to upgrade the firmware Friday night and that caused this problem.
