Non-Connectivity to ISP Coax WAN light goes out all others lit

I had started my service in 2009 with Verizon Fios. Other areas have received a Dual Band N channel router.

Verizon had told me the had them but couldn't release them in my area. They were releasing them to the other South Bay Cities first. I have an old A/B/G 1424-WR modem/router.

Other people in my building and neighborhood not experiencing the problems that plague me with connecting to the internet. After The First of February 2014, I had experiencing non connectivity issues wirelessly and through my iPhone, iPod Touch and other devices slow or no connection from STB to router in order to control my STB in the bedroom.

This has been happening for as long as I had service. The internet problem is relatively new. When I go to my friend's house who incidentally, has Verizon Fios, the other devices I mentioned above work seamlessly well. But not on my network.

sounds like you have a cabling issue. Check the cabling and splitter that may be common to the ONT, router and the STB having issue.

VZ does NOT have a dual-band router at this time.  The rev. I is 2.4Ghz only.

The Actiontec MI424-WR is a MOCA capable router.  It is not a modem.

If the Coax WAN light is going out, it indicates a problem with the coax connection between your router and the ONT.  When the problem occurs, check your MOCA WAN stats using tghe first part of the following FAQ: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16569

If you numbers are too low, you can troubleshoot the coax issue by checking coax connections, checking splitters, checking for kinks in the coax, etc.  If that fails, then you will have to call VZ to haver them troubleshoot.

Have you tried changing the wireless channel?  Sounds like wireless interference.
