Before I go through a lot of trouble shooting processes, I wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing fios internet issues in Northern VA (Chantilly) the last week or so. I lose the internet connection several times a day. The loose seems to vary from a couple seconds and get automatically re-connected to a complete loose and I have to reboot the router to get the connection back. The speed also seems to fluctuate widely from minute to minute. As I said I have not started to document any of this – but here is some basic info.
- I connect to Verizon on 173.73.139.148 – I have tried to release and renew the connection and it always seems to connect back to that
- I have the actiontec MI424WR-GEN2 router
- I have multiple devices (wired and wire-less). I have the problem connecting to the internet – all the devices seem to be able to connect to my home network easy enough – they just can’t get out when this happens.
