Property Damage that Verizon doesn't take care of - who do I contact to get results?

Hi Everyone,

I had FIOS installed on the 7th of August, 2009.  The tech arrived an hour early and mounted the box to my home without contacting me first.  The problem was 2 fold: 1) he mounted it right above (I mean an inch or 2) my electrical service box at ~5 ft off the ground 2.) my house was newly sided about 3-4 weeks before this, so he had to move my verizon box and ruined some siding ~3 pieces.

Now if it was just siding, I wouldn't have a big deal with it and would probably ask for a small credit and fix it myself, but because he mounted this to the same piece of siding as the main electrical box, I need to have an electrician unmount my peak and off peak boxes to do this change, costing about 400 bucks.

The guys manager (they are our of Coatesville, PA said they would take care of it.  However, they haven't come to take pics, have ignored my 2 bids I got from electricians, and keep telling me when I call fiber solutions that either Tom or John (the managers there) will call me back.  Honestly, they won't, because I've called 3x and spoken to 3 different people, each assuring me that I will get a call back within 24 hours.  The call never occurs.

Does anyone have a number for the claims dept in PA or know how to get verizon to take care of this, it is very frustrating and disappointing.  I've filed a complaint with the State's Attorney General's office at this point, my next step would be to file a claim in small claims court, but I would only do that after exhausting (which I feel I'm close to doing) my options with verizon myself.

Thanks for your input.

This number is used for property damage during installation. I copy it here from another thread:

Or, customer service is 800-922-0204

I've sent a private message. Verizon doesn't like the information it contains to be visible to everyone.

I also have damage caused by Verizon. Their subcontractors cut my ground wire! This was not found until late yesterday. I have been having problems since day1 since switching to Verizon on 6/22/09. I could not get a tech out because all Verizon would do for me was to check my service via their remote. Finally a tech came out  at 1:30 PM yesterday and found the electrical problem. She said I was lucky that I did not have a fire or that TV s & computer did not fry. PECO is our utility company and their emergency crew did not get here until 9:30PM last night - said it was not their line and I need an electrician to fix this. And to make matters worse, this electrical problem caused my over the range microwave to blow out! Today Verizon's electrician is there and "fixing" the groung wire - said that this could possibly have ruined the microwave but he would not take responsibility for that.

I have filed a claim with my homeowners insurance company (Nationwide)and asked them to subrogate Verizon for the damages.

I also contacted the PA Attorney General Consumer complaint office to report Verizon and their excavation subcontractor ACE Telecom Inc.

Now , I sit and wait for a response. {please keep it relevant}

just got my fios installed today and the techs were great (there were 2).  my problem is the sub who ran the fiber.  it was run under my driveway and now the asphalt is heaving where the cable was pushed through.  I fear cracking may result.  I contacted the sub and the verizon tech gave me his manager's number.  Haven't heard back from either.  Hopefully I will so some resolution can come together...  loving the fios thus far however.
