Quantum Not Delivering

I ordered Quantum three days ago.  My Verizon site says the order is complete.  And yet my upload and download speeds have not changed.  I tried an Online Chat, but the wait is over 40 minutes to talk to a technical person.  Any ideas?

are you testing while wired or wireless?

What router revision do you have (look at the service tag, it will say REV E, F, I etc...)

are you testing at http://speedtest.verizon.net/fios300

I upgraded to Quantum 50/25 and have not noticed any improvment in the wireless connectivity.

Any one else struggling to understand the value of the upgrade?

The value comes for those who need or want the extra speed, and have capable equipment to make use fo the extra speed. Wireless is the most common bottleneck and source of trouble (assuming all else is equal), so as you go up the ladder in speed, the closer bound you are to needing to use a wired connection, or a complex wireless setup (for example, 500Mbps Wirelessly needs either Wireless AC or a setup allowing a computer to associate to an access point twice on two different bands).

It's no different than the struggle between having 40 channels and 80 channels on a TV. Sure the bill goes up as you add more channels, but if your television set cannot tune to all 80 of those channels but your provider is supplying it, is the upgrade valuable?
