I have an Internet connection through an M1424 - WR wireless router. The line in is a coax cable. I want to add an HD STB and TV to this connection. What are the Verizon-recommended solutions? Is the solution a bi-directional splitter/amplifier?
Thank you,
Ed S.

Any good quality digital rated passive splitter (rated to pass 1GHz or higher) will do the job. Your local big box store will have them or you can order them from a variety of retailers online, such as:
Absolutely NO amplifiers. There's another recent thread on the forums here which discuss why if you're interested, but in short they are not needed and will actually create problems because they don't allow the right signals to pass usually.
Get only a splitter which has the number of outputs that you actually plan to us (so if you need to connect one additional device, a simple two way splitter will do).
