Given the error, it sounds like Microsoft Edge.

 

Edge is generally pretty barebones unless someone has installed add-ons from the "Microsoft Store" App. Add-ons would be called Extensions, and can be found by going to Edge's Menu, and clicking Extensions.

 

To make sure the latest version of Edge is in use, go to Settings > Update & Security, and check the system for any updates and install them. Make sure the Windows Fall Creators Update is installed (can be installed from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ).
