Router Connection Question

I just got the new ActioTech Gigabit router with wireless n and I made and error connecting it.  I connect through COAX so I made this connection.  However, I mistakenly connected an old network printer (not wireless) to the WAN port instead of one of the LAN ports.  I turned everything on for a few minutes before realizing my mistake.  Does anyone know if this could cause any damage to the router or other connected equipment.  Everything seems okay, but I am just curious.
