Router Rental fee, what are my options

I don't want to rent my router equipment.  What are my options?  I would prefer to use my own router.

Can I purchase the equipment and stop paying rental fees?

As Telco said and posted the link you can get a rev i. router there or you can go on ebay and get a new or used one then either return the current router to a fios store or you can mail it back to them by calling and asking for a box with pre paid label to return it. Once returned the rental fee will be removed from your account. Just make sure they do in fact remove it after it has been returned.

return router, go on ebay, purchase westell 9100em or actiontec mi424wr real cheap.

or, switch to ethernet and run straight to your PC or your own router. going this route requires a verizon router somewhere in the loop to get TV guide and VOD

You can Buy Orbi it works with Verizon or buy their router I did that about 4 years ago and they will stop charging you the monthly fee.
