Twice in the past week, my upload ability has been strange.
I see the problem when I get online between 11pm and midnight.
Between 4 and 5am, the problem goes away.
During this time, I cannot sign into a Google account.
Ookla Speedtest shows over 80Mbs download, but fails upload completely.
This happens on my desktop computer, which is connected by ethernet, and my laptop with WiFi.
I called Verizon support and started working with one of their techs.
We worked on the problem for 1 1/2 hours.
He had their techs look at my connection and they could find no problems.
The router was rebooted several times.
I physically reset the router to the factory defaults.
I rebooted my workstation several times.
We gave up around 1:45am.
The tech and I were baffled.
He said they would send me a new router.
The problem persisted for a few more hours, and my download speed continued to be very good.
Shortly 4:10am, I went to take a nap, but left the computer on.
At 5:40am, I logged back on to my computer, and the problems were gone.
Excellent results for upload and download on the Ookala Speedtest website.
As mentioned at the beginning, this happened a week ago, and today.
I cannot think of any reason this would be a problem with the router, but when it gets here, I will give it a try.
