Tampa Fios - gaming seems laggy since upgrading speed package

Ever since I switched to triple play and upped my speed it seems laggy. Download speed is consistant, but speed testing my upload is all over and I very rarely see my 35 upload. If I get host on blackops now it seems unstable, Im not sure if its the new router or maybe verizon equipment. My nat type is open, all ports fowarded, no QOS enabled, no vod...before if I got host I didnt have any issues, Now 2 things have changed...I no longer can use my ddwrt flashed actiontec because I need moca for tv. So I now have a westell, and second the speed increase which that shouldnt be in issue...

Have you tried rebooting your ONT? Remove AC Power from the ONT and then disconnect the battery. Wait 30 seconds then connect the battery and finally AC Power.

Bringing up an old thread here, but I am having the same problem (Tampa also). I have the 35/35mbit package but my pings are unstable, 70-80ms east coast and 120+ west. I ran NameBench and switched out my DNS servers and that lowered my pings by about ~10-15, the problem seems to be something else.

Did you ever get this fixed?

Nope never got it fixed. Im considering getting a different service for internet. Fios's tampa network has been getting routed thru miami quite a bit over the past few months making it worse.
